Newfoundland and Labrador

Type of service
Inter-jurisdictional Support

Services offered
In cases where one party lives outside the jurisdiction, Family Justice Services (FJS) can help clients negotiate an agreement on child support. Where an agreement is not reached, this program advises of Interjurisdictional Support Order (ISO) application forms. Once fully completed by the party, the ISO application is then forwarded by the party to the Designated Authority (DA) located within the Support Enforcement Office to be forwarded to the Designated Authority office in the reciprocating jurisdiction. The forms are reviewed by the DA for completeness but not for substance before they are sent.
